PARALYZED DOGS

Print

Category: HPC MAIN CONTENT

We have a very good success rate with paralyzed dogs at Franklin Road Animal Hospital.  I learned a technique from Dr. Lynn Parker in Charlotte, North Carolina when I left vet school in 1973 that was more successful than the surgery that was being done at Auburn University.  We are usually able to get a paralyzed dog up and walking again without the major expenditures and trauma of surgery and in a short amount of time.  To my joy the animals are usually back functional much earlier than the three weeks I normally project.

Within the last few years I have found that most of these dogs have underlying food allergies that are causing their nutrition to be impaired.  This poor nutrition causes a lack of health of their discs which leads to a functional prolapse and damage to the spinal cord.  This bruising of the spinal cord needs to be resolved as soon as possible.  At F.R.A.H. we normally determine chiropractically the location of the lesions which are treated conventionally with DMSO, clinical steroids, and enzymes depending on the longevity and severity of the impairment.  Chiropractic adjustments are often begun along with therapeutic ultrasound treatments and magnetic therapy.  After the initial treatments, supplementation to correct the deficiencies and underlying food allergies are addressed along with the inflammatory conditions producing the impairment of function.  The role of prevention of future paralytic episodes is also strongly addressed.

If you live close to Middle Tennessee we can treat your pet at the clinic, but if you are in Montana, Maine, or even Ireland, we can help with the allergies, inflammation and prevention protocols by a holistic method and recommend supplementations.  You can get a chiropractor in your area to do ultrasound therapy, chiropractic adjustments and pulsing magnetic therapy to help turn the dog around. We recently made a magnetic strip for a client whose dog was having walking issues in Saudi Arabia.

If you live far away you can phone or email us for instructions on how to provide the DNA materials for us to be able to do long distance care. (615) 377-6457 / This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

CLIENT TESTIMONY

July 1, 2018... I will tell you our experience at Dr. Ingram’s Holistic Clinic. Our Princess is an 8-year-old, 6 1/2 lb. Yorkie, she is like a family member to us. She originally belonged to my mother. We lost our mom in 2013 at that time it was our privilege and honor to take Princess into our family. Saying this to express how much she means to us. Princess was full of life, and very active and full of love. Around June 21, 2018 we find ourselves searching for a solution to Princess’ problem. It started with her back legs collapsing on her. She couldn’t use them. After taking her to a traditional Veterinarian and giving her the medicine prescribed things got worse. Within a very short time she was paralyzed . Her legs couldn’t hold her up. She was helpless had to be held up to eat or drink. She was so unhappy. We were scared and heartbroken.

Knowing holistic medical attention was our best bet we took her to Dr. Ingram. To be honest we expected him to give us a way to just make her comfortable for her last days. To our surprise he had a solution. After a manipulation on her spine, an ultrasound treatment and an adjustment to her diet we took her home with an appointment in two days for another ultrasound treatment. The very next morning Princess was standing on her own. Moving slowly but standing. Buy the second day she was moving faster, eating on her own and going out to the bathroom. We still carried her down the steps but she was traveling around by herself. At her ultrasound visit she was given magnets for her spine to help with her healing. Today she is back to normal. Playing, running around going down the steps and using the bathroom on her own. I hate to imagine where Princess would be if we didn't have Dr. Ingram here. We know his treatments saved our pet's life, we have our Princess back. I know we aren't the only ones that feel this way about Dr. Ingram and his treatments for our animals. I travel over an hour to make sure Princess gets the best care with the least invasive treatment.
