We use Alpha Stimulation principally for pain relief. The alpha-stim machine is used to stimulate alpha brain waves to induce a state of relaxation and a reduction in anxiety. We often use it to prepare an animal to receive a chiropractic or veterinary orthopedic manipulation (VOM) treatment. A better chiropractic reduction can be achieved if the patient is in a relaxed mental attitude. Alpha-stim is also used to re-establish electrical currents in damaged tissue such as scars. It has been shown in man and best to produce pain relief in acute injuries.
When we first got the machines in my wife wrenched her shoulder. She couldn't sleep due to the pain. I first used the machine with the probes on her shoulder and then she applied the ear clips. She fell asleep within 15 minutes, slept soundly through the night, and awoke with no pain.
We offer machines to rent on a daily basis. Rental charges are applied to the purchase price of a machine if so desired.
